EVE Energy has officially launched its 46mm large cylindrical battery cell, featuring a nickel-rich NCM cathode and silicon anode architecture. The cell achieves an energy density of 280 Wh/kg and supports 6C fast charging, positioning it as a key solution for premium electric vehicles (EVs) and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. According to the company, mass production is expected to begin in Q4 2025, with multiple automaker orders already secured.
This means that B2B buyers in the EV and advanced air mobility sectors can now access a high-energy-density cell that significantly reduces charging time and extends range. The 46mm form factor is becoming an industry standard, offering scalable integration into pack designs. For component suppliers and battery pack manufacturers, early engagement with EVE Energy could secure preferential supply agreements ahead of mass production.
Large cylindrical cells like the 46mm are increasingly used in drone and eVTOL applications. We offer custom battery pack designs using these or alternative form factors, with rapid prototyping for small batches.
