First Breach Inc. (NASDAQ:FBDT), a U.S.-based defense technologies company, has successfully completed the maiden flight of its new unmanned aerial system (UAS) prototype. In a concurrent development, First Breach has advanced its strategic agreement with Hellbender, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based engineering and advanced manufacturing firm specializing in physical AI, robotics, and automated production. Under this agreement, First Breach retains ownership of the drone platforms and associated intellectual property, while Hellbender provides engineering, design, technical support, and component manufacturing.
The collaboration covers two Class 1 attritable drone platforms: a compact, close-quarters system and a longer-range system. Both are being developed using common components to maximize supply chain efficiencies, ensure consistent quality, and enable rapidly scalable domestic production. Notably, over 25% of Hellbender's workforce consists of military veterans, underscoring a commitment to U.S. manufacturing and technical innovation.
This development signals a strengthening of the U.S. defense industrial base for unmanned systems.
