The global energy storage industry chain has recently signed multiple major cooperation agreements totaling more than 22 GWh. REPT BATTERO entered an annual 2 GWh cell procurement framework with Guangzhou Yigongpin. Ford Energy signed a 5-year supply agreement with a subsidiary of Électricité de France (EDF) for up to 20 GWh of battery energy storage systems, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028 using 512 Ah LFP cells.
Additional projects are advancing toward operation: RelyEZ Energy's 110 MWh project in Hungary and Chint Power's Kagoshima project in Japan are nearing grid connection or have already commenced operation.
This means B2B buyers in the energy storage sector can expect increased supply chain stability and longer-term pricing visibility, as major utilities and automakers commit to multi-year, gigawatt-scale procurement frameworks. The shift toward large-format 512 Ah LFP cells also signals a technical benchmark that may accelerate standardization and cost reduction across the industry.
